Balasore: In yet another man-animal conflict, at least two persons sustained grievous injuries in two separate incidents of bear attack under Nilagiri block in Balasore district, Wednesday.
The first incident was reported from Chandipur village in the block, where a person identified as Suman Das sustained critical injuries after being attacked by two wild bears near his house. The locals who rescued Suman, admitted him to Nilagiri sub-divisional hospital.
In another similar incident, a woman identified as Bari Besara of Saidingsahi was left with serious injuries after she was attacked by a bear when she had ventured into a nearby forest to attend nature’s call.
She was also admitted to Nilagiri hospital where her condition was stated to be critical.
