Bhanjanagar: At least two women were injured in a wild boar attack at Bhetanai village near Aska in Ganjam district Monday.
One woman, who suffered serious injuries, has been identified as Pramila Badatya.
According to reports, when Pramila along with another woman was on their way to take bath in a pond, they came across a wild boar which had sneaked into the locality from a nearby forest Sunday night.
The animal mauled them before running back into the woods.
Some local people rescued them and rushed to Aska CHC. Later Pramila has been shifted to MKCG Medical College.
The forest officials have reached the village and took stock of the situation.
