Paradip: Two unidentified bodies were found near Nehru Bangla area under Marine police station limits in Odisha’s Paradip town, a police officer said Sunday.
The bodies have grievous injury marks.
Prima facie, it appears that their faces were crushed with a stone. But the actual cause of the death will be known after the post-mortem report arrives, police said.
The identity of the deceased men and the motive behind the suspected murder are yet to be ascertained, said Marine police station inspector PK Behera.
Local residents said that the victims were seen moving around in the area since last couple of days and that they seemed to be mentally challenged. They had last been spotted Saturday night.
The police said that an investigation into the matter has been launched.
