Union minister Bishweswar Tudu admitted to Delhi AIIMS for post-Covid complications

Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Bishweswar Tudu was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi for treatment of post-Covid complications Wednesday, a source informed.

Tudu was experiencing severe pain in bones around eyes and teeth, a doctor treating him at AIIMS said.

Meanwhile, a team of doctors at AIIMS has been conducting different pathological tests of Tudu and providing treatment as needed.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Thursday wished Tudu for a quick recovery. Taking to his personal Twitter handle, Patnaik wrote in Odia, “I learnt that Union Minister Bishweswar Tudu is now being treated at AIIMS-New Delhi, following Covid-19 related complications. I wish him good health and quick recovery.”

Notably, Tudu is a native of Khuntapal village in Mayurbhanj district. The 56-year-old parliamentarian was among two politicians from Odisha who were recently included in the Prime Minister Modi’s new team of ministers July 7, 2021 along with Rajya Sabha MP Ashwini Vaishnaw.
