Ganjam: Panic gripped Jadav Sahi of Buguda town in Ganjam district after 11 goats were killed by an ‘unknown creature’ Saturday night.
According to reports, Kalia Patra, a goat farmer had kept 11 goats aged between 5-10 days. When he went to the shed Sunday morning for feeding the animals, he found them dead. Injury marks were found on the neck of the goats.
He informed the matter to district veterinary and forest officials.
Preliminary investigation indicated that the goats were killed by an animal belonging to the wildcat species, said a forest official.
