Bheden: In a shocking incident, a yet to be diagnosed disease claimed the lives of two siblings Friday at VIMSAR, Burla where they were undergoing treatment.
The deceased siblings have been identified as five years old Vaishnabi and one-year-old Bajrangi of Chamar Pada village of Chichinda gram panchayat under this block in Bragarh district. A third sibling, three years old Chumuki, is undergoing treatment for the unknown disease at VIMSAR.
According to Fakira Miriga and Purnima Miriga, the parents, the three children had been suffering from fever. Friday they all complained of a bloated stomach and problems in attending natures’ call. They were immediately rushed to a local government hospital and then shifted to VIMSAR.
While undergoing treatment, Vaishnabi and Bajrangi succumbed to their ailments Friday.
Since Fakira is not financially strong enough to get their lone daughter treated, local people urged the administration to provide some help to the distressed parents.
