VC commits to raise edu standard

Koraput, August 29: Central University (CU) is committed to impart higher education to people in tribal areas, HAL’s general manager Malay Kumar Dey Saturday said while attending the seventh foundation day of the varsity at Landiguda in this district.
The district is languishing in many fields despite having two projects of international repute like Nalco and HAL, the general manager said.
Students studying in the university would get employment opportunities in these projects in near future, Dey added.
Varsity’s registrar Colonel Rajiv S Chouhan and vice-chancellor Sachchidananda Mohanty were present on the occasion. The VC said he would put in his best to raise the standard of education in the varsity.
Students, who had excelled in debates and literary competitions, were given prizes on the occasion. Among others, additional district magistrate Ekadashi Jena, assistant professor Narayan Panda and others were present during
the celebration.
