Vigilance officers raids MKCG Junior Clerk’s office, other places

Berhampur: Vigilance sleuths Tuesday raided multiple places in connection with allegation against junior clerk of MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur of acquiring more assets which is disproportionate with his income.

The accused has been identified as Ajit Kumar Sahu, the junior clerk of MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

Acting on a tip-off, vigilance officers of the anti-corruption agency conducted simultaneous raids at a duplex house in Siba Padma Colony, Ambapua. The other places that were raided included a three storied building at Gajapati Nagar, three storied building at Lanjipalli. The sleuths even barged into the office room inside the hospital and cement warehouse titled ‘Chandan Traders’ at Lanjipalli. The officers already had the search warrant from the court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.

However, the exact amount of disproportionate assets that the junior clerk possesses is yet to be ascertained, officials added. Till last reports came in, the raids were underway.
