A dramatic police chase captured on a dash cam has set the internet ablaze, showing a runaway car thief meeting his fate in the most brutal way possible.
The viral video begins with a suspect speeding away in a stolen car as police hotly pursue him. The chase takes a sharp turn when the suspect’s vehicle suffers a tyre burst, forcing it to veer off the road and come to a dead stop. But the fugitive isn’t ready to give up just yet.

As soon as the car breaks down, he bolts out and makes a desperate attempt to hijack a blue car stopped nearby. The driver, however, isn’t having it. As the suspect clings onto the car’s rear left door, the driver swerves aggressively, zigzagging to shake him off.
Finally, the driver of the blue car decelerates the vehicle so does the police car.
With nowhere left to run, the suspect takes off on foot once again. The police car screeches to a halt behind the blue vehicle, and officers leap out, weapons drawn. “Do not move, or else you will get shot!” an officer shouts.
What happens next is not for the faint-hearted. As the suspect continues running, police fire twice, hitting him in the abdomen. The viral video ends with one officer shouting, “Shots fired! Shots fired!” as backup arrives.
