Virat tops brand value charts

Top Agencies while making ad films keep in mind the popularity and brand value that an Indian celebrity enjoys in the market. The question that does the round is the influence they will have while promoting a particular brand. At this moment the brand value of Virat Kohli, captain of the Indian cricket team, is the highest and in second spot is actor Deepika Padukone. The famous Khans – Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir are way behind in the list and further back is the legendary Amitabh Bachchan.

Duff and Phelps a global advisor, headquartered in New York, recently carried out a research to find out which Indian celebrity has the maximum brand value. In the list it has published on its website, Kohli’s brand value has been earmarked at USD 170.90 million (approximately Rs 1,205 crore).

Far behind in second place is Deepika with a brand value of USD 102.50 million (approx Rs 723 crore) and in third place is Akshay Kumar (USD 67.3 million, approx Rs 447 crore).

Shah Rukh (USD 60.7 million, approx Rs 428 crore) is in fifth position, Salman (USD 55.8 million, approx Rs 394 crore) is sixth while Aamir is at 11th (USD 28.6 million, approx Rs 201 crore) place is just ahead of former India captain MS Dhoni (USD 26.3 million, approx Rs 190 crore).

In fourth position is Deepika’s husband Ranveer Singh while Amitabh and Alia Bhatt are seventh and eighth respectively.
