VP Venkaiah Naidu arrives in Bhubaneswar for AIIMS convocation

Bhubaneswar: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu arrived here Saturday on a day’s visit to Odisha.

He was welcomed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport by Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram.

Naidu is scheduled to address the first convocation of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. After delivering the keynote address, he will leave for Delhi at 11.30 am.

Fifty MBBS and 56 nursing students will be conferred degrees, while 24 students will receive gold medals at the convocation.

Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda, Chief Minister and the Governor will also attend the function.
