Mumbai: All rounder Hardik Pandya has been again in the news for wrong reason. Fans have started shaming him for smoking inside a birthday party.
The cricketer who had injured himself during the Asia Cup and since missed the Test, ODI and T20I series against the West Indies was seen smoking a cigarette at Sakshi’s birthday party, hosted by former Indian Captian MS Dhoni.
On the work front, Pandya was also left out of the T20I and Test series in Australia but the all-rounder is a key member of the Indian side and the team management would hope for him to recover in time for the ODIs in January.
Pandya is often seen in designer clothes and was present at Sakshi Dhoni’s birthday bash over the weekend.
MS Dhoni, who was left out of the T20I series against West Indies and Australia, partied with Hardik and a few other friends to celebrate Sakshi’s 30th birthday.
Pictures and videos of the party went viral on social media.
However, one of the videos show Pandya smoking. This is of course not the first time a cricketer has been spotted smoking. But modern day elite athletes are far more conscious of their image.
Pandya is of course not on national duty and Sakshi Dhoni’s birthday bash was a private party. However, he is a centrally contracted cricketer.
