Tihidi: Over 300 acres of farmlands had remained submerged under water in Kebera panchayat under Tihidi tehsil in Bhadrak. Following complaints from farmers, executive engineer of the Salandi irrigation division Artatrana Sahu, along with SDO Pritam Pothal, and Junior Engineer Satyasundar Mandal took stock of the situation. He said Gopalia canal renovation work in the area will be carried out soon. He added that due to construction of a concrete road from Isanpur to Kasati, the farmlands in Kasati and Deula had been waterlogged. Local farmers said that farm activities could not be carried forward due to water-logging.
