Bhubaneswar: The supply of piped water to some areas of Bhubaneswar was affected Thursday due to reported cracks in the pipeline between Munduli and the capital city.
According to BMC City Engineer Debasundar Mohapatra, there have been some cracks in the main pipeline.
As a result, the supply of water to some areas of the city such as Dumduma, Dharma Vihar, Chandaka, Jagamara, Sailashree Vihar, Niladri Vihar, Pokhariput and Sector 1, 2 and 3 areas of Saheed Nagar was affected.
The repair work is underway on a war-footing and efforts are on to restore the water supply at the earliest, he added.
