Wearing bra is not considered a healthy habit and there have been a lot of campaigns against the wearing of bra. One may not believe it, but it is true and many studies have claimed so.
Bra is an indispensible part of women’s wardrobe and since ages there are many do’s and don’ts regarding wearing and choosing bras. While grannies advise not to wear bras in nights, moms ask daughters to choose a loose one.
Why they advise so, because it has some good points.
If one chooses a wrong type of bra for her body size, she is prone to many health related problems like back pain, cyst infection, constricted breathing, and muscle strain to name a few. Studies also show that wearing bra might lead to breast cancer. It also shows that women who don’t wear bra or wear it for a short time, are less prone to breast cancer.
In case of continuous use of bra especially the tight and strappy ones result in restricting the circulation and flow of lymph fluid which is responsible for collecting all the toxins and dirt from our tissues for elimination.
There is a myth that if one wears bra while sleeping at night, it helps keeping the breast in its proper shape. However, if one really wants to wear it at night, then she should go for a comfortable lightweight bra, or sports bra. Pregnant women and breastfeeding women should not go for tight fitting bra.
Tight fitting bra can cause skin problem and also make one restless at night. Due to wrong choice of material, most women experience skin rash around the breast because of sweating. Hence a cotton bra is always advisable.
