Weather alert July 29: Bhubaneswar likely to experience rains, thundershower; Orange Warning issued for these Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar in its weather alert has issued an Orange Warning for several districts of Odisha for July 29.

The weather agency further informed that in Bhubaneswar, over the next 24 hours, a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 32 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively.

Upto 8.30 AM of July 29: As per the Orange Warning (be prepared), heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore districts.

Impact and action suggested: 

  1. Temporarily water logging is likely in low-lying areas.
  2. Traffic congestion in urban areas, Traffic advisory may be seen for movement in your destination.

As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Subarnapur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Nuapada and Nabarangpur districts.

In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of the state.

From 8.30 AM of July 29 to 8.30 AM of July 30: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Subarnapur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Boudh districts.

In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of the state.

In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 34.2 degree Celsius was recorded at Jharsuguda while the lowest minimum temperature of 22.8 degree Celsius was recorded at Nabarangpur, the weather alert of July 28 informed.
