Weather forecast July 5: IMD Bhubaneswar sounds heavy rainfall warning for 17 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar in its weather forecast of July 5 issued a Yellow Warning for heavy rainfall in several districts of Odisha.

Upto 8.30 AM of July 6: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kandhamal and Mayurbhanj districts.

In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of coastal Odisha Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and at many places over the remaining districts of Odisha.

From 8.30 AM of July 6 to 8.30 AM of July 7: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Subarnapur, Bargarh and Sambalpur districts.

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Cuttack districts.

In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha.

In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 32 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively.

In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 39.8 degree Celsius was recorded at Titilagarh while the lowest minimum temperature of 25.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Nayagarh, the bulletin informed.
