Lucknow: The BSP and the SP may have left out Congress out of the alliance they formed for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh. But there will be a different sort of a coalition here Wednesday when Prateik Babbar, the son of Congress leader Raj Babbar ties the nuptial knot with BSP leader Pawan Sagar’s daughter Sanya.
Prateik who is the son of late Smita Patil and Raj Babbar failed to make a mark in his acting career. Sources have indicated that now he intends to pursue his political ambitions. It remains to be seen though whether he follows in his father’s footsteps or joins the party of his father in-law. Others however, have said that currently, he is working on two projects in Mumbai. The aspiring actor was once involved with Kangana Ranaut.
More than actors, a large number of political stars including BSP supremo Mayawati and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav are expected to grace the occasion and bless the couple.
Prateik and Sanya have been dating since 2017. Last year they got engaged but had kept mum about their marriage plans. But now they have decided to take the plunge.
