Bhubaneswar: With cyclone ‘Fani’ projected to move along Odisha coast in a few days, Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi Monday convened a special review meeting and expressed confidence that the state is well-prepared to face the challenges.
The high level meeting was conducted at the secretariat and was attended by top officials from the administration.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting he informed that the cyclone will pass through the coast without making a landfall in the state. Heavy rainfall and winds gusting to 50/60 kmph are likely under its impact.
As a precautionary measure, 20 teams of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) and 10 units of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been kept ready to deal with any kind of exigencies, Padhi informed.
