Bhubaneswar, August 11: The home department has prepared a list of who’s who to be the chief guests at Independence Day celebrations across the state August 15.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will unfurl the national flag at Bhubaneswar and will attend the I-Day parade here. Likewise, finance and public enterprises minister Pradip Kumar Amat will hoist the Tricolour and attend the parade at Puri.
Cooperation and excise minister Damodar Rout will hoist the national flag in Cuttack while industries, school and mass education minister Debi Prasad Mishra will do so in Puri.
Agriculture minister Pradeep Maharathy will attend an event at Bhadrak while revenue and disaster management minister Bijayashree Routray and parliamentary affairs minister Bikram Keshari Arukha will attend the events at Jagatsinghpur and Rayagada respectively.
Women and child development minister Usha Devi, SC/ST welfare minister Lalbihari Himirika and MSME minister Jogendra Behera will attend the flag hoisting at Balasore, Angul and Nabarangpur respectively.
Rural development minister BN Patra, housing and urban development minister Puspendra Sing Deo and steel and mines minister Prafulla Mallik will attend the programmes at Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Bouth districts accordingly. While commerce and transport minister Ramesh Majhi is scheduled to attend the programme at Kalahandi, health and family welfare minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak will attend the programme at Dhenkanal.
Law minister Arun Sahoo and food supplies and consumer welfare minister Sanjay Das Burma will attend the event at Bolangir and Sambalpur respectively.
Sports minister Sudam Marndi, tourism minister Ashok Panda, energy minister Pranab Prakash Das, higher education minister Pradeep Kumar Panigrahy and textiles minister Snehangini Chhuria are likely to attend the flag hoisting at Malkangiri, Nayagarh, Koraput, Kandhamal and Jharsuguda districts respectively.
