Wife’s vermilion-painted feet brings good luck for husband

In India there is a tradition for married women to apply vermilion on their feet. According to myth by practicing this tradition, the women bring good luck for their husbands.

In Vedas it has been mentioned that Lord Krishna had painted Radha’s feet with the red dye. Vermilion also symbolizes the blood stream in our body. People believe that by applying vermilion on feet, the females can enhance their fertility rate. Similarly, it also brings fortune for married women. They also believe that applying vermilion regularly appeases Goddess Laxmi.
