Bhubaneswar: The newly appointed chief administrator of SJTA Pradipta Mohapatra said he would coordinate closely with servitors and temple employees for the smooth conduct of Rath Jatra.
“I will discharge my duty to the best of my ability,” Mohapatra told newspersons.
Mohapatra recalled that he had earlier served in the same capacity apart from being RDC and collector of Puri during the Rath Jatra in 1998.
He said he would be in a position to reveal more details once he took charge.
Mohapatra, who is the principal secretary, School and Mass education, has been given additional charge as SJTA administrator Monday.
The 1988 batch IAS officer replaced Pradip Jena who was SJTA administrator for more than two years.
