Wishes pour in for Amitabh Bachchan on his 77th birthday

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wished Friday megastar Amitabh Bachchan on his 77th birthday. Mamata Banerjee wished him good health and happiness and prayed that the legendary actor continues to entertain people around the world through his acting skills.

“Wishing you a very happy birthday, @SrBachchan ji. Wish you good health and happiness. May you continue to entertain people across the world,” Banerjee wrote on her Twitter handle this morning.

Bengali film superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee shared a picture of Amitabh Bachchan and himself on his twitter handle. Chatterjee tweeted “Happy Birthday @SrBachchan ji. Salute your relentless spirit and love for cinema. You are the true torchbearer for Indian Cinema and a living legend.

Meanwhile ahead of Amitabh Bachchan’s 77th birthday today, his daughter Shweta Bachchan posted a heartfelt post for him on social media. Shweta took to Instagram Thursday and wrote: “Home is not a place, it is a person.” Along with the post, she uploaded a throwback picture in which Big B is seen holding the baby Shweta in his arms. The father-daughter duo has often expressed their love for each other on social media.

Among others who wished Big B was former India cricketer VVS Laxman. He also posted a picture of himself and the megastar and captioned it, “Warm Birthday wishes to the legendary@SrBachchan. You are not only my all time favourite actor but also an inspiration and a role model.”
