Angul: In yet another incident of man-animal conflict, a, 78-year-old woman of Dubanali village under Jarpada police station in Angul district sustained grievous injuries when she was attacked by a wild bear Tuesday.
According to sources, the elderly woman identified as Bachhei Nayak had gone to a nearby pastureland at 7 am Tuesday to bring a teeth brushing twig when she was attacked by the wild bear.
Critically injured, Bachhei was admitted to Chhendipada Community Health Centre (CHC). She was later shifted to Angul district headquarters hospital (DHH) after preliminary treatment.
