Banarpal: A woman was killed and her husband and son seriously injured after a truck hit the bike they were travelling on at CPP square under Nalco police limits in Angul district, Saturday morning. The deceased was a teacher at a school in Nimabahali area.
Sources said, the deceased’s husband, was driving the bike while the deceased and her son were riding pillion. They were on their way to Angul from Banarpal. At CPP square, a truck rammed into the bike. The woman, who was tossed high in the air landed on her head and died on the spot. Locals took the man and his son to the hospital.
The accident disrupted traffic movement for over an hour in the locality, leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded on either side of the road.
