Khurdha: A newly married woman‘s dead body was found at her in-laws in Gobindapur under Begunia police limits in the district Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Annapurna Jena.
The incident came to light this morning after some neighbours of the victim spotted her body lying in the bedroom and alerted the police.
After being informed, Begunia Police rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy starting an investigation.
The father of the deceased woman has lodged a complaint with Begunia police alleging that she was killed by her in-laws.
He also alleged that she was tortured by her in-laws since the marriage to bring more dowries.
However, the exact reason behind the death of the woman is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, suspicion over Annapurna’s in-laws has arisen as they went absconding after her death.
