Anandapur: In a sad outcome of a domestic dispute, a woman poured hot dal on her stepson after frequent assaults by him at Kainipura village under Ghashipura police limits in Keonjhar district, Wednesday. The survivor Dipun was rescued in critical condition and rushed to Anandapur Hospital first and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after primary treatment.
According to the complaint, the survivor Dipun always used to pick fights with his father Madhav Patra, and step-mother Janjali Patra, and beat them up at the slightest pretexts. The incident took place after Dipun assaulted his step-mother and father again, Wednesday morning. Enraged, Janjali picked up the hot dal being cooked in a pot in the oven and hurled it at Dipun, she stated in her complaint filed at the police station. Anandapur IIC Bibatsa Pradhan confirmed to have received the complaint from the woman while the survivor, who is undergoing treatment, is yet to file an FIR.
