Jajpur: A woman sarpanch died of snakebite at Khetrapal panchayat under Dharmasala block in Jajpur district Monday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Mandakini Parida.
According to reports, Mandakini, who was at home, was bitten by a snake Sunday night. She was rushed to Badachana Community Health Centre.
Later, she was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
