Today is International Women’s Day. It is celebrated across the globe to honour women for their efforts and achievements. Virat Kohli decided to take to Twitter to dedicate a message to all the men and women out there. We totally love how Virat has taken a different take and it makes so much sense. We are sure, wifey Anushka Sharma must be super proud of the Indian cricketer after watching this video.
Virat Kohli took to Twitter and wrote, “Tag the extraordinary woman in your life who is #BetterThanEqual @Staywrogn @AnushkaSharma ♥️” The skipper also posted a video where he is talking about women empowerment and how women are not equal to men but better than them. Wearing a T-shirt that reads ‘Stay Strong’, Virat in the thought-provoking video said, ” Men and woman aren’t equal. I really wish we were. Honestly, the fact is, it’s easier to be one than the other. Sexual harassment, discrimination, sexism, domestic abuse and threats of violence…and the list goes on. Despite all of this, women rise and shine in all walks of life. Still think they’re equal? No, they’re better than equal. To all the woman all around the world, I wish you all a very happy Women’s Day ” Take a look at it below:
This isn’t the first time that Virat has come out in the open and dedicated something to the Pari actress. In the past too, when trolls took off on the actress for the cricketer’s poor show at the matches, he has stood by her. That’s not it, recently he also posted a review of the actress’s latest release. He wrote, “Watched #Pari last night, has to be my Wife’s best work ever! One of the best films I’ve seen in a long time. Got quite scared but so very proud of you @AnushkaSharma ♥️.”
