Bhubaneswar, Oct 4: Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy and other senior officers interacted with the newly recruited Assistant Section Officers (ASOs) of various departments at Lok Seva Bhawan, Friday.
“Our society is undergoing rapid transformation. People are now connected to the digital world. Their inspirational level has also increased manifold. Accordingly, the government is transforming its mechanisms and systems,” Tripathy told ASOs.
“As many of you have professional qualifications. Government expects you to work professionally in innovative ways,” he said.
The Chief Secretary took feedback from the ASOs regarding their present work assignment, work environment, need for logistic support and their experience with their respective seniors. He advised them to act in the perspective of 5T charter and conduct all their official works through the online systems like IFMS, OSWAS and HRMS. The ASOs were advised to utilize their professional knowledge and work like in-house consultants.
Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra directed the ASOs to get acquainted with the existing rules and norms in force for various types of works, understand the procedural requirements in their true spirit and act promptly for quick delivery of services.
Finance secretary Ashok KK Meena asked the ASOs to organise their work place and arrange the records and files as per a definite pattern for instant tracking, which will enhance their output level.
