Yesteryear villain Mahesh Anand found dead in his residence

Bollywood’s yesteryear actor Mahesh Anand was found dead in his residence in Mumbai Saturday. The reason for his death is not known yet. The body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. He was 57.

Mahesh Anand is known to Telugu audience with super hit film No 1 of Krishna and Krishna Reddy. Mahesh Anand is famous for his many negative roles in Bollywood, he was last seen in Rangeela Raja of Govinda.

The actor reportedly suffered from a drinking problem and was estranged from his wife, who lives in Moscow. She denied having any knowledge about his death and they have not stayed in touch since 2002.

Mahesh in his recent interview revealed that he lived alone with no work and no money all these 18 years as nobody signed him. He did not even have money to pay autorickshaw when Pahlaj Nihalani asked him to come to his office. Mahesh said that nobody remembered him, though he worked with some big people.

Mahesh worked with popular actors of Bollywood like Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Amitabh Bachchan. He appeared in films like Shahenshah, Majboor, Swarg, Vishwatma, Betaaj Badshah, Vijeta and Kurukshetra.

The police did not rule out the suicide possibility yet, though there was no note recovered from his residence in Andheri’s Yaari Road.
