Bhubaneswar: Young Indians (Yi) Bhubaneswar Chapter, in collaboration with the Sports and Youth affairs ministry of the Union Government, is organising a programme named Mo Utkal Divas April 2, to celebrate the foundation day of Odisha, announced its chairperson Vishal Dalmia Wednesday.
Governor Ganeshi Lal and Youth Affairs Minister Tushar Kanti Behera will grace the occasion with their presence, said Dalmia.
Dalmia said, “Utkal Divas is observed April 1 to commemorate the formation of Odisha but Yi Bhubaneswar is celebrating it differently by bringing its youths, entrepreneurs, and the government under one platform of ‘Mo UTKAL DIVAS’, against the backdrop of the state’s rich culture and heritage.”
Key organisations and individuals working tirelessly towards making the state progressive will be felicitated.
A youth conclave featuring brainstorming competitions for students and deliberations on present business ideas and models, entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development goals, will also be held on the same day, said Sonal More, co-chair of Yi Bhubaneswar.
A panel discussion on the history of Odisha will be held where eminent Odissi dancer and Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy president Aruna Mohanty, KIIT University vice chancellor Sasmita Samanta and painter Jatin Das will be present as panelists.
On the occasion, a food festival named ‘Utkal Rasoi’ including Oriya cuisine only will be organised by the students of the School of Hotel Management.
This apart, another panel discussion on ‘Reimagining Odisha@2047’ will be organised where panelists will be Agriculture department principal secretary Arabinda Padhee, broadcast sports journalist Sai Prasad Mohapatra, CSM Technologies founder Nanu Priyadarshi Pany, and chairperson Mo College Akash Das Nayak.
