Researchers have proved that even though bathing in hot water during the winter season is hugely comforting, it is dangerous for health. Many of us think that a hot water bath with a few drops of eucalyptus can prevent cough and cold and soothe tired muscles. But on the flip side having a hot bath can lead to many health hazards. Here’s what can happen.
Affects fertility: Scientists state that having a hot water bath for more than 30 minutes can affect one’s ability to procreate. So, those who have fertility issues should have their bath in normal temperature water. Soaking in a tub of hot water is definitely not advisable.
Causes dry skin: A hot water bath during winter can lead to dry and parched skin as it removes the moisture from the outer membrane. If you have sensitive skin, it is better to keep away from bathing in hot water as it might cause rashes and lead to allergies.
Creates laziness: Hot water bath relaxes and may make you feel sleepy once you step out of the bathroom. It will not energise you, but make you feel lethargic.
Causes skin wrinkles: Everyone wishes for fresh and young-looking skin, but regular hot water baths can make your skin look wrinkled and haggard way too early.
Causes hair fall: Pouring piping hot water on your head can damage the roots of your hair resulting in excessive hair loss.
