Loisingha: A man was bludgeoned to death by his nephew over a family feud at Rampur village under Loisingha police limits in Bolangir district Sunday.
While the deceased was identified as Santosh Behera (34), the accused has been identified as his nephew Subhranshu.
According to sources, Subhranshu forcefully demanded the Ganesh puja donation from a street vendor Saturday afternoon. The vendor expressed his inability to donate for the puja. The matter came to Santosh’s notice and both of them had a verbal spat.
Enraged over the issue, Subhranshu attacked his uncle with a wooden plank Sunday morning.
Santosh, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed to the Loisingha community health centre, where doctors declared him brought dead.
