Boudh: A motorcycle rider was killed after his Bullet rammed into a roadside electricity utility pole at Rajanpali square on Khurda-Bolangir national highway in Boudh Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Shiv Prasad Ray, a resident of Jagatsinghpur district, who was working with a private company in Boudh.
The accident happened when Shiv, who was heading to Butupali, lost control on his bike and hit a roadside electricity utility pole.
He had been rushed to the Boudh district hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.
However, some people alleged that an unknown vehicle hit him and fled the spot.
Police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
