Jajpur: A youth’s body was found hanging from a blackberry tree at Sisirana village under Binjharpur police limits in Jajpur district Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Anjan Mallick, son of Ramakant Mallick from Sisirana village. Domestic dispute is said to be the reason behind him taking to the extreme step.
Anjan used to work in a private company in Andhra Pradesh. He came to his village a few months back and during the period, his marriage was solemnised.
However, few days into the marriage, the relationship between the couple started souring over some issues. They used to quarrel frequently. A few days back, Anjan had dropped his wife at her parents’ house.
Anjan’s family members found him missing at around 4:00am Thursday. They launched a frantic search for him at every possible place but failed in tracing him out. Later, some villagers spotted his body hanging from a blackberry tree in the village Thursday morning.
They immediately informed the deceased’s family members and the police as well.
Later, a team from Binjharpur police station reached the spot, brought down the body and sent it for postmortem.
A detailed investigation is underway to find out the cause behind the death and what could have prompted him to do so. The cops are probing the issue from all possible angles, it was learnt.
