BHUBANESWAR: Two big-budget movies Zero and KGF are set to lock horns on the festive week of Christmas putting cine lovers in a dilemma as to which one to watch first.

Yash-starrer KGF which would be released in five language-Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and  Malayalam, is expected to offer stiff competition to Shahrukh Khan-Katrina Kaif-Anushka Sharma starrer Zero which is directed by Anand L Rai.

The two mega movies are quite different in their themes. The Shahrukh starrer is a romantic comedy that shows the story of diminutive man from Meerut played by Khan who finds it very difficult to find a marriage partner. He discovers a match in Aafia Bhinder, a NASA scientist with cerebral palsy played by Anushka Sharma. However, leading superstar Babita played by Katrina Kaif also develops a close affinity with him which jeopardises his existing relationship. This love triangle takes them to far-off cities, and thrusts Bauua on an adventure to discover both his true love and completeness in a life.

Shahrukh has played the role of a diminutive individual for the very first time. His pairing with director Anand L Rai, who has directed huge hits such as Tanu weds Manu and Ranjhaana, would be a thing to savour. The movie would also be marked by the reunion of Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif after their stint together in Jab Tak Hai Jaan with Shahrukh khan. Anushkha had last worked with Shahrukh in Jab Harry Met Sejal which was a box office failure. This would be an opportunity for SRK to regain lost ground.

However, Zero faces a stiff challenge in countering Yash-starrer KGF. Superstar of Kannada cinema Yash promised a power-packed action drama in KGF. The film which is directed by Prashanta Neel is distributed by Farhan Akthar production house Excel for the Hindi market.

The film which is quite similar to Bahubaali in its sequencing has two parts. Trailer of the movie was appreciated by one and all due to its brilliant cinematography and overall appeal. The bearded look of Yash has been deeply appreciated by cine lovers. The film will be released in five languages. It is a complete action drama and is set in the late 70s and early 80s. Yash plays the role of Rocky, a slick and suave person of the 70s. It’s worth mentioning that Zero has been allotted more screens than KGF in city theatres and multiplexes.
